Empower Simcoe makes every effort to provide supports that meet the needs of all individuals. The March Break Bash offers a 1:4 ratio; if a 1:1 Support Worker is required for a youth to participate this must be arranged by the family.
In order for a family-employed Support Worker to accompany a youth to our program, that Support Worker must either:
- Submit a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that has been completed within the last 90 days from the time of submission, or
- Must be a screened CHAP worker
(Community Helper for Active Participation) through supportyourway.ca/respiteservices.com
Confirmation must be provided at the time of registration that the 1:1 support worker meets the above criteria
