HRF (Housing Retention Fund)
The Housing Retention Fund is available to assist residents of Simcoe County with:
• arrears of rent or mortgage payments,
• arrears in utilities,
• last month’s rent,
• moving expenses.
Assistance is provided once every two years (24 months) for a maximum of up to;
• $2200.00 total for a family household
• $1200.00 total for an individual household.
For utility assistance applicants must have a disconnect notice.
For rental areas applicants must have notice of eviction.
For mortgage arrears applicant must have a letter stating bank will not deter.
