Journey to Belonging: Choice and Inclusion and the work my division at the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services is doing to help improve services for people with developmental disabilities.
Our vision in Journey to Belonging is of an Ontario where people with developmental disabilities feel at home in their communities. We will continue to work together with our partners to build a developmental services system that is more responsive to people’s needs, and provides flexible, person-centered supports to help meet their changing needs over the course of their lives.

September 29th, 2023 – From Community Living Ontario’s Inspiring Possibilities AGM and Conference, Empower Simcoe is privileged to share this latest Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Journey to Belonging: Choice and Inclusion presentation.

Journey to Belonging: Choice and Inclusion lays out the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services’ long-term vision for developmental services in Ontario, where people who have developmental disabilities are supported to fully participate in their communities and live fulfilling lives.
At Empower Simcoe, we are committed to supporting the bold vision of Journey to Belonging, knowing that we can make a meaningful impact and better support people with developmental disabilities.
